The IMMP Program is housed by the Poverty and Inequality Research Centre within the Crawford School of Public Policy, with a strong team contributing to the IMMP.

 

Professor Sharon Bessell leads the Individual Measure of Multidimensional Program and is director of the Poverty and Inequality Research Centre. She co-led the ANU-IDM team from 2016-2020, with overall responsibility for the Program.  She co-led the IDM Indonesia study and was closely involved in the IDM qualitative follow-up study in Indonesia and contributed to the revision of the IDM surveys and scoring.  Sharon was a chief investigator on the Assessing Development project, and designed the 3-phase research methodology that led to the IDM and, subsequently, the IMMP.

Professor Janet Hunt is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research, ANU. From 2016-2020 she co-led the ANU-IDM team and overall Program management. She worked closely on the revision of the IDM surveys and the IDM South Africa study, and was centrally involved in the development of IDM scoring scheme and index construction. Janet was a chief investigator on the Assessing Development project.

Dr Angie Bexley is a research fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy and deputy director of the Children's Policy Centre. She led the analysis of the descriptive statistics from the IDM Indonesia study and has worked closely with stakeholders in Indonesia. Angie is lead author of the IDM Indonesia reports.

Dr Helen Suich led the IDM South Africa study, including the statistical analysis, and is lead author of the IDM South Africa report. She worked closely with stakeholders in South Africa and was central to the review of the IDM surveys, development of enumerator training materials, the IDM scoring scheme, and the index construction. Helen is currently a visiting fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy.<\p>

Dr Masud Hasan holds a PhD in applied statistics and was responsible for the development of the IDM index and the statistical analysis of the IDM data from Indonesia. Masud is currently a visiting fellow with the Crawford School of Public Policy.

Trang Pham is a PhD scholar at the Crawford School of Public Policy and was a research fellow with the IDM Program, where she worked on both the Indonesia and South Africa country studies and on the survey revision, development of enumerator training materials, the IDM scoring scheme, and index construction.

Dr Mandy Yap is a research fellow with the Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research (CAEPR). Mandy co-led the IDM Indonesia study; she worked closely with stakeholders in Indonesia and was central to the revision of the IDM surveys, the development of enumerator training materials and, the IDM scoring scheme.

Celia Vuckovic is the program officer for the Individual Measurement of Multidimensional Poverty Program and the Poverty and Inequality Research Centre.

Ewelina Przybyszewski is the communications officer for the Individual Measurement of Multidimensional Poverty Program and the Poverty and Inequality Research Centre.
